Industria Chimica Valenzana I.C.V.
Industria Chimica Valenzana I.C.V. SpA was founded in 1946 in Valenza Pò (Alessandria), and then located in Borgoricco, a village 15 km far from Padua and 25 km far from Venice, in the north-east of Italy.
The company is devoted to the production, distribution and export of Natural Tartaric Acid (L+) and alcohol.
In 1984, it was acquired by the Bertolino Group, a family owned group, leader in the production of ethanol and other derivates of the wine industry, combining their experiences in the field with sophisticated production plants.
Thanks to the vision and tenacity of Antonina Bertolino, president of Board of directors of I.C.V., the company has been completely restructured and has successfully achieved a steady increase in the production capacity and the efficiency of the process, in the full respect of the environment.
By 1986 ICV
has consolidated its leading position in the market through the strategic acquisition of two main companies: “Industrias Quimicas Y Tartaricas”, in Spain, producing Tartaric Acid and today devoted to its commercialization and “Distelleries de Bagnols & SOGEC Reunies” , in France, producing calcium tartrate. This production, together with the own production of Calcium tartrate in I.C.V.’s Branch, in Argentina, and Distelleria Bertolino, in Sicily, has permitted to secure the continuous disposal of the raw material necessary to produce Natural Tartaric.
Today, ICV is at the top of its development. It counts on new generation plants and technologies and a young and well trained staff. It has focused its attention on quality and serves with its activity the growing demand of the market.
